(Pensacola, FL) TinBu, a leading provider of interactive data modules in a variety of categories, has just launched a platform
of five content applications to be used by consumers on the Apple iPhone. These applications include global lottery data,
global weather, daily horoscopes, U.S. gas prices, and swimsuit model of the day. Users can select from English, German,
or Spanish language when interacting with these applications.
Using an Apple iPhone, or a web based Safari browser, these applications can be accessed at www.TinBu.mobi.
Through an alliance with Lycos, TinBu has integrated a Lycos Search Bar into each of the iPhone applications, as well as
contextually relevant ads.
"Our patent-pending technology has allowed TinBu to develop and distribute world-class interactive content modules that are
used by leading online media groups and thousands of web sites around the world. Moving some of our content applications
onto a platform accessible by the millions of global consumers who now or will use the iPhone in the future was a logical
step," said John Brier, TinBu's CEO. "We are excited about the prospects of delivering our technology and interactive content
to millions of new consumers through these iPhone applications. With the integrated search and relevant contextual advertising
inside of these applications we are delivering a useful new interactive content platform to consumers, as well as a new stream
of revenue for TinBu," concluded Brier.
"Lycos is proud to be working with Tinbu in powering these interactive data modules. Combining mobile content delivery with
relevant search functionality is a powerful value-add for the consumer," said Ed Noel, GM of Search Products for Lycos, Inc.
TinBu plans on making these iPhone applications available through TinBu.mobi, and also through a listing inside Apple.com's
iPhone applications.
